Is the civil ruling in violation of my bankruptcy?

I was forced to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2009. After I filed, there was a ruling in a civil case against me. I thought that the automatic stay prevented all of this from happening. Was the civil ruling in violation of my bankruptcy proceeding?
